PRENATAL YOGA

TRIMESTER 1 : WEEK 1-12
Self Nurture
Less is best!
During this trimester the baby and the mother undergo the most rapid changes.The mother should allow her body to rest while baby is developing so quickly. After the doctor's OK, the yoga session will be focus on grounding and nurturing through slow movement and focused breathing to help promotes strength in stillness
TRIMESTER 2 : WEEK 13-27
Stamina
'The Golden trimester '
12 weeks have past and now the mother feels a little bit close to "normal". We will now focus on building strength, stamina and also on correct alignment of the spine. During the yoga classes we will focus on the connection between the mother and baby.
TRIMESTER 3 : WEEK 28-40+
Inner Power
The Big Day is coming
Either it is your first pregnancy or not, this trimester is the final step before giving birth. Now the yoga practice will be less movement oriented, and more about helping you to find comfort.
We'll focus on gentle stretching, hip opening, breathing, relaxation. Preparing you physically, mentally and emotionnaly for labour.
POSNATAL YOGA

Ideally you will start postnatal yoga in between 8 - 12 weeks after giving birth and most importantly get the OK from your doctor First.
Every woman is different, every pregnancy is different, and thus every postnatal recovery period will be different.
Yoga is here to help you acknowledge flexibility on the mat physically, and also adapt to our your life.
The main practice is of compassion to self.
The focus is on rebalancing and restoring strength in the body.
MUM (DAD) & BABY YOGA
Bonding time
Baby yoga is a great bonding experience for
the new parent and baby. It is a beautiful way to balance and promote wellness in the mind, body and spirit.
Babies respond well to soothing energy and when the baby is calm, the parent as well is.
